The Avont brand was born in the late ’90s in Kitchener - Waterloo, Canada, created by Dahron “JRD” Blair while still in high school. What started as simple T-shirts and all-ages house parties quickly grew into something bigger. After graduation, things evolved fast—powered by a mix of naïve ambition and an untameable passion for culture. That energy gave birth to Avontinc.

Avont Music Canada is a Canadian-owned independent record label established in 2011. Founded as a grassroots collective of family and friends, the label is rooted in collaboration, artist development, and community building. Avont Music Canada has developed relationships across the Canadian music industry, working with artists, producers, photographers, videographers, and music executives, while supporting emerging creatives at early stages of their careers. Alongside its label operations, Avont launched Avont Magazine, now Avonttv.com, a digital platform created to spotlight Canadian artists and industry peers. Operating independently, Avont Music Canada continues to support Canadian music through production, collaboration, and media exposure.
